How about this. Take a S&W Mod 41 in 22LR. Fit it with a 16.5 to 18" barrel,what ever balances best, and then fit it with a shoulder stock. Put a short wood forend on just the right spot, have the barrel drilled and tapped for scope mounts in the correct place for a regular rifle scope. Kind of...
