A local consignment sale of a 645 in excellent shape - a sock drawer gun for an elderly gent - caught my eye today. What are some differences or whatnot between this and the 4506's? The price is likely too good to pass, and I have to look into it. edited: Searching for "645" gave me nada...

How much thicker are these than the stock grips?

OK, S&W was making different revolvers for a while, and I thought this included 5 or so calibers in these stubby N frames. My question is, which calibers were the 3" N frames made in back during the 1980's?

Well, Mernickle probably didn't design his K frame speedloader pouches for the eight round moonclips, but mine seem to work pretty well. I haven't done any cartwheels to see how secure they are, but a very slight push seems to be enough for "normal" activities. Merry Christmas all...
