My new no lock model 19

I was disappointed when S&W reintroduced their Model 19(-9) Classic in 2017. The Model 19 was discontinued before they added the lock so until the Classic, no model 19 had been made with the lock. But, since Model 19s are my thing and I couldn't say I had (at least) one of every engineering...

    2 piece barrels

Anyone have any tips or tricks on how to remove the two piece barrel from a S&W? I’m ‘trying’ to remove the barrel from a 2.75# (sic) Model 66-8 but accept for diameter/caliber they should be the same. Oh, how about getting the brass rod out that snapped off flush with the muzzle...

    Sold - 3” (non-ported) Model 66-4

Offering what I think is the best variation of the best engineering change for a 3” Model 66. A very nice, very early (Nov, 1993) non-ported 3” Model 66-4. The new rear sight style gives you that square butt top strap profile which reminds me more of the profile of the early 3” Model 19-2s...

**SOLD** WTS: ANIB 2.5" Model 19-2

For sale, an early (-2) 2.5" Model 19 with box, tools and all papers. Can't say it hasn't been fired outside of the factory (has not by me) but looking at the recoil shield, forcing cone, cylinder face and ejector rod; if it has, it hasn't been much. Box top isn't like new (54 years old) but...

    Serial numbers on Model 29-5

Just finished working on a Model 29-5 and since I know next to nothing about Model 29's or 29 Classics, this seemed odd to me. The serial number is laser etched in the yoke cut, on the frame below the cylinder and on the left side of the grip frame but not on the butt. I have seen the serial...

    Model 69 extractor pic

I'm hoping there's someone here with a Model 69 and a scanner that can send me a flat scan of the extractor star. Extractor star in the cylinder would be fine too but the center pin might tip it at an angle. :)

    WTS: Vintage grip adapters

For sale, 11 vintage grip adapters made by Tyler, Pachmayr and Mershon. I did my best to figure out what each fit but I’m not certain I’m correct. As my thread, "Grip adapters" shows, I am not very familiar with these so I am asking $75 each, OBO. Shipping is $10 for 1, 2 or all 11.

    M&P 5.7 firing pin removal

Anyone here know how to remove the firing pin from the slide on an M&P5.7? It is not the same as removing the striker from an M&P 2.0 and getting the firing pin safety plunger out of the way is definitely not enough like it would be on a 3rd gen.

    Grip adapters

Looking to be educated on grip adapters. Even on the ones that came with service or magna stocks, I prefer target stocks so know nothing about these. Are these plentiful so have little value or uncommon and worth more? I am somewhat familiar with the Tyler “T” adapter. I do have a black one...

    Model 15-5 question

Saw this thread when I was away from my SCS&W: https://smith-wessonforum.com/s-w-revolvers-1980-present/721118-model-15-5-date-manufacture.html I would have thought that this was a 1987 M15-4 Did the Model 15 really get an engineering change for the elimination of the barrel pin? The Models...

    The Last Combat Magnum

(the last carbon steel, Model 19, .357 Combat Magnum, before the reintroduction of the Classics in 2017) The carbon steel Model 19 was discontinued and dropped from the catalog in November, 1999. (the Model 66 .357 Combat Magnum Stainless was discontinued in 2005 and then reintroduced in 2013)...

    Model 559 & 539

You are probably familiar with the 'rare' matte fixed sight 559s that were made in 1985. There was a thread on one 'recently' but I can't seem to find it. The SCS&W makes mention of them and states about 15 were made.
