Real bad - Got this 640 (-3) and its now plugged. But the grips - the horror and humanity of it all. They need changing. But what - I was thinking (but I smoked too many brain cells working on a bullet buillet problem) of putting Ivory grips, or maybe Walnut grips that would fit my size too...

It looks likes like Arizona is passing a new law allowing concealed carry without a...

Hi Folks... My oldest buddy (best man at my wedding decades ago) has a 6906. He likes the gun but not the hammer because it is a pain to cock for single action. Has anyone changed the hammer over? And if you did, what did you use.
Please comment on how that replacement went, and could you post...
It aint't mine - my friend forwarded it as he received it with this message;
" guy came into our department the other day to ask a favor. He had a S&W 629 that he wanted to dispose of after a mishap at the range. He said there was a loud bang when he tested his new load and the gun smacked him...
I had a very special privilage this week. My eldest son, 8 yrs in the Army, A Combat Airborn Medic, 2 tours in Iriq, was commissioned a 2nd LT. I got to pin his new bars on his coat. I could bust a button.
BTW, I'm the one on the left...
I am retiring my old Barlow folding pocket knife and was looking at the new tech stuff. What I am wonderings is, Amyone have one of those fancy spring flick pop open knives open in the pocket?
How safe are they?
I like to carry my 640 in the pocket with the pocket holster and IWB but there are times when neither is right. So, I ordered an G&G ankle holster for those times. I wanted security of the 640 as primary. I do not want to have the revolver pop out and start moving across the floor. I have heard...
I was wondering if standard (if there is such a thing) 1911 stype grips would fit my 645. Anyone know? I do not thinks so without 'fitting' for the decocker and slide release.
Ok I may e pushing these a little fast depending on what book you look at. These rounds were fired from trimed cases. There were fired from a Modern Win 94. The Muzzel velocity came out 2461fps.
My 2nd adddition Sierra Boss says this is ok but the much newer Lyman book says it is hot. Wadda Ya...
I handloaded these rounds building each exact to the other. Here is my raw data and the graph I made in Excel. The data shows the relationship between my 357 and 38 rounds as shot and chronographed. The two handguns are a S&W 19 (no dash) 4" barrel, and a 640-3 2 1/8" barrel.
Wadda ya think??
