Adding a Gold Bead to a Novak Front Sight?

I've got a 6906 with a difficult to see front sight. The blade is fine but I'm tired of repainting the dot. Novak doesn't list a gold bead front sight for a 3rd gen so I thought I'd try to source a bead on my own and adhere it myself. Does anyone have any experience doing this? If so, where did...

    Wow! S&W Service

So, I just received my 6906 back from S&W. I sent it in and requested the 3rd Gen Action Package and to have them fix a POA/POI discrepancy. I expected to pay whatever they quoted, budgeted for the work, and then waited (impatiently) to hear back from them. After 3 months I received the estimate...

    Tuning the 6906

I'm looking for some advice on what direction to take with my 6906. It's a gun that I really like but feel like it could be a much better shooter for me. My biggest challenge is a trigger with a LOT of take up and a hard pull in single action. I've adjusted to it as best as I can, but feel like...

    Silhouette or Herco

So, Herco has been a favorite of mine for med range .357 loads and warmer .38sp, using a 158gr swc. Silhouette has been my go-to for 9 mm, shooting a Zero 125gr jhp. Both powders are capable of handling all of it, plus .45acp if I want them to. Any reason y'all can give for kicking one to the curb?

Which swaged bullet do you like for .38?

I've been shooting hard cast, but am thinking of trying some swaged 158 gr lswchp's for my snubs (m10/m19). I can't find Remingtons, so I'm trying to decide between Speer, Hornady, and perhaps Zero, which are lubed more like a hard-cast bullet. My intent is to load them in the 800+ fps range...

    459 assembly issue

Good morning, I've been trying to get the slide back on the frame without success for a few days now. I can get the slide as far as the sear release, but for some reason, I can't keep the s.r. depressed long enough to clear the slide. It seems to me that the spring is pushing it up as the...
