    An unmarked Sloan style holster

    I found this on EBAY. The holster does not have a manufacturers mark but does have a DS marking, (DETECTIVE SPECIAL?). A S&W K frame 3 inch fits nicely.

    Taurus model 85

    I stopped at a local shop Saturday and found this Taurus model 85 5 shot 38 special. The gun was clean, inside dry, lubed with Lucas oil. Will shoot it later this week. Not sure how I will like hard plastic grips.

    ALTERATIVE GRIPS FOR MODEL 12 REVOLVERS

    Due to the narrow grip frame finding grips for model 12s is hard. I tried a set of pre war service grips from Thailand with a grip spacer. The width of the service grips fills my hand and the grip spacer helps hold the gun.

    I broke a side plate screw

    I tried to remove this side plate screw from early non model marked S&W model 12. 1/2 of slotted tip broke off. Luckly other side left and I was able to grab with small vice grip.

    I picked up a N frame round butt grip. On the inside of the grip a "N" looks to be routed in. The grip reminds me of a boot grip. Would these ALTAMONT GRIPS?

    Picked up my 642UC

    Shop got an allocation and offered it to me .First impression barrel straight and XS sight glows in the dark. Trigger pull becomes hard just before hammer falls, I think that will wear in. I am not a fan of VZ grips they do look will replace before I shoot it.

    MANURHUN MR 73 FIXED SIGHT

    This Manurhin MR 73 357 fixed sight appears to be a used LEO gun based on the wear pattern. The lock up is tight no end shake. Carried a lot shot little?

    S&W MODEL 38

    I was asked to look at this gun for a retired LEO. Complaint very hard double action pull. This is a blue gun with nickel ejection rod and yoke. I did not ask about the nickel pieces. When I opened the gun found the trigger pivot stud broken off where it meet the frame.
