    Another great buy from Digital_Revolver

I just got a pre-25 from Leon, and I am a happy customer. No problems and a great gun fairly priced. Thanks Leon!

    45 HE Target

Finally, I have a light barrel .45 Target. It's as close to 100% as any gun I own. Is it just me, or does everybody feel great when you buy a 6.5" N-frame?

    Pre-war 38/44 Outdoorsman

I came home with this beauty the other day. It's a 38/44 Outdoorsman, with incorrect stocks, and a humpback hammer. The trigger on this baby is like buttah!

    44 HE 2nd model 5"

I scored this one last week. It's a .44 HE, 2nd model with a 5" barrel. Easily very good, and mechanically it's excellent, and it's been shot a good bit, by looking at the recoil shield.

    Austin PD HD

I have yearned for an Austin P.D. 38/44 Heavy Duty for quite a few years. I think that's just natural for a Texan S&W hound. And now, with the help of a couple of our Forum and SWCA brothers, I finally have mine. Rack #148, which matches the first 3 digits of the serial number. It's a stunner...

    Handgun socks too long

Does anyone know if there are gun socks on the market for short and snub nose pistols? All I've found are at least 14" long and that looks almost empty with a snubby J or I frame in it. I mean cheap ones, not something that's 10 bucks each.

    Box abuse

I can't imagine why someone would do this to a sweet little box? The paint is so thick, it looks like wood texture. It came with my newest Terrier, and looks to be the original box. Friends don't let friends do this! An abomination! Oh, the horror!

    Terrier and M&P .38

This is the rest of my haul from RIAC in Bedford last weekend. A very nice Terrier, which is an upgrade from the one I have just like it. A 6" .38 M&P, which fits right in with my collection of Post-war, satin blue, fixed sight hand ejectors.

RIAC Bedford, observations of a rookie

I would like to tell you about my first experience at a large gun auction and give you all a few pointers, as well. You want to go to the preview, usually the day before the auction begins. All the guns are on display and you can actually handle them. They all will have a lot # and will be sold...

    Early Airweight Chief's Special

Here's another one of my scores from Bedford. It's a 4 screw Pre-37. I thought it would fit in with my fixed sight post-war collection, even though it's not satin blue. When I got home with it, I looked it over and thought about something. I went and fetched a magnet and sure enough, it has a...

    Round butt M&P 38

Here's another one that I didn't let get away in Bedford. I had scoped it out in the online catalog for a while. A post-war M&P .38, with a round-butt. Check out those cool service stocks. I've never noticed one of these in a 4" RB before. Really happy about this one. I took these pics at the...

    Highway Patrolman 5 screw

I had a great time attending the RIAC gun auction in Bedford Texas, last weekend. My first time to go to anything like it. 5000 guns, and on the preview day, you can personally handle them and check them out. I had a few on my bid list and this was the first one that I was successful at. A...

    .32 Regulation Police times two!

Last week was a good S&W week. A very, very good week. On Tuesday, I was able to acquire a great post-war .32 Regulation Police that I had been hunting for, from our member Truckman. On Saturday, I received this outstanding 1 of 196, 1957 Regulation Police Target, with letter, and this stunning...

Post war, satin blue, fixed sights

The title says it all. This has been my focus for a while, now. After years of aimlessly collecting S&W, I have started to focus on a particular area that I enjoy. These are all Post War, satin blue, fixed sight revolvers. The N-frames at the top are, 1950 38/44 Heavy Duty 6.5"bbl...

    .44 HE 3rd model Military, post-war

I walked into a gun show on Saturday morning, really not even thinking I was going to buy anything, but on the 1st aisle I go up, on about the 3rd or 4th table I glanced at.....There they were, vintage S&Ws, reasonably priced for these days. I started to scan the items...oohhh, ahhhh. Wait, what...
