Am shifting to handgun hunting for big game (too old to lug my trusty 30-06)so I got a 629-6. Hunt dark timber, so a 75 yd shot on elk is really long. What load (prefer factory, but I probably will get into reloading) would you recommend? Don't want to pound the gun apart practicing/sighting!

New to the forum--got "too old" to lug the old 30-06 for hunting, so I bought a beatiful new 629. Need to do something for hunting sights, but don't want to put on a scope and mess up the lines of the 629. Saw an old post on another forum where someone made a ghost ring. Any ideas on that or...
