I'm looking to purchase a shoulder holster for SW40VE pistol. What is better a horizontal pull or vertical pull. Nylon vs leather. Any specific brands? The pistol will be carried infrequently. I am right handed if this makes a difference.

Does dry firing a SW40VE damage the pistol. I have read that dry firing will ease the trigger pull. I just bought the pistol and don't want it ruined. Thanks in advance for the replies.
