Random review: Crossbreed Microclip & IWB magpouch

Where I work, as with many employers, guns are strictly prohibited. So, while legally I can carry (I have a permit), I also have rent and other bills to pay. Consequently, if I want to carry at work it's imperative that concealed means concealed. First off, I'm built kind of like the...

Free: Hogue grip for S&W 6906

Gone! I have a Hogue grip for a S&W 6906 free for the asking. I can't verify what else it fits, but it went on my 6906 years ago. It's been in my holster box for the last five years, but is complete and functional to the best of my knowledge. First posted "I'll take it" gets it. Please...

    Who makes these mags?

I picked up some mags to use with my 469 and I can't figure out who made them. They're marked "made in Italy" so I thought the might be Mec-Gars, but there's no logo. Any ideas? Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk

It only took me five years...

I used to have a lovely little 6906 that was my pride and joy. I absolutely loved it...had lots of mags and holsters and things. Until post-divorce hard financial times forced it's sale [emoji22] It was the last of my Smiths to go, and after that I was done. It's taken some time, but I'm...

    Refinishing a nickel-plated model 59

My model 59 has a well-worn nickel finish. As much as I just kind of like the worn finish, it shoots and handles so nicely that I wouldn't mind having it refinished in the original style. I have no idea how to go about doing so. Any ideas?

Pocket holster recommendation for Taurus TCP

I picked up a Taurus TCP 738 this weekend and I really like it...it's a great little pocket gun and has an awesome trigger. But, I'm having some difficulty finding a pocket holster for it. Any suggestions?

    Win75: deal with confidence!

Dave and I agreed to trade some mags and everything worked out great! I was very pleased with what I had and hopefully he can say the same. Great communication, no issues at all. Big thumbs up!

Does anyone else black out their white dot sights?

I read lots of stuff about guns, both in books and online. Somewhere I came across a story about blacking out the white dots on the sights will make you a more accurate shot. Just for kicks and giggles I played around with it on my 6906, and I've found that by blacking out the dots on the...

    Model 59 half-cock?

In playing with my new (to me) model 59 it appears that it has a "half-cock" notch on the hammer. If you thumb-cock it, it will go back a little and click and you can stop right there or you can cock it all the way. When you pull the trigger in DA mode it goes through a definite "click" and...

Brought home my model 59 today

I've had this one on hold for a few weeks now and was finally able to bring it home today. According to "the book" it dates to 1977-1978. The nickel finish is well worn (mostly on the right side) but the action is beautifully smooth. I can't wait to get this one to the range! I don't...

    Full-size alloy frame 3rd gen 9mm?

as I (like others) get thoroughly confused by the model number assignments on the 3rd gen pistols... What would be the model number (if there ever was one) for a full-size, alloy framed 9mm pistol with a stainless slide (ala full-size 6906)? I know the 5906 was all stainless...I'm interested...

Holster comparison: N82 Tactical vs. Crossbreed Supertuck

When I got my S&W 6906 (back) a few weeks ago I knew I wanted to get a better CCW holster than the one I had. Options are somewhat limited for the S&W 3rd gen pistols, and after lots of research I decided to get the Crossbreed Supertuck. I placed my order and waited patiently. Shortly...

Hogue wood stocks on a 6906

Has anyone tried a set of the Hogue wood stocks on a 6906? I have to admit I love the looks, and I'm thinking hard about trying a set...I'm just having a hard time justifying the cost.
