    .41 Magnum long barrel

    I saw minty Smith Model 58 N prefix today. Pinned and recessed with the long barrel. The grips had been replaced with some rubber ones. It looked like quite a handful but was priced at $550.

    Model 29-3 go or no go?

    Local pawn shop has a Smith & Wesson Model 29-3, .44 Magnum, blued, 6 1/2 inch barrel, excellent condition, after market Hogue grips. It is priced at $449 but I am sure they would take an offer of $400. Hmmmmm.

    Model 38 pinto...

    I picked up a Model 38 Bodyguard today. Pinned barrel, SN# 793J4 on grip frame base, matching grips. The barrel, rod and cylinder are nickel plated and have 7934* (star) stamped on them. It has a wide target trigger. JUst thought it was interesting, affordable and in very good condition.

    Model 65-3 ECSD marked.

    Nice revolver..I think it is from Edmunds County South Dakota...ex police revolver? SN#30D33xx. Any clues as to DOM? It is in very good condition and locks up tight.

    Model 527 NYSP contract...

    There is a Smith& Wesson Model 520, N frame, pinned 4 inch barrel, blued, .357 magnum for sale. It evidently was part of a 3,000 contract for the New York State Police but they were never issued. Sounds pretty good..also looks pretty good. Any feed back is welcome.

    Model 64-1 stainless MPD marked..

    I picked up a Model 64-1 today. Pinned barrel, SN#1D25510 and MPD also stamped on bottom grip frame. I recall someone posting about a similar MPD marked S&W revolver but cannot find the thread. It has a few minor cosmetic issues but seems to be tight with a very good bore and cylinder face...

    Early Airweight finish ?

    I saw an early Airweight snub barrel yesterday. I think the SN# was without a prefix. It looked really good and had the aluminum cylinder. The finish looked more like black paint to me...kind of put me off.

    police trade-ins Model 66-7

    Two local shops have several police trade-ins..Smith Wesson Model 66-7's. They look pretty good as far as condition..most are 4" barrels some are shorter length barrels. I am not sure where they originated..one guy in the shop said Australia but I just can't see it..don't they just chop...

    Iranian S&W Model 10

    I saw a very interesting Model 10 with a 2" barrel today. Excellent condition..it had the pre revolution lion crest of the Shah era on the right side of the frame. I have no idea of the rarity or value but am going to keep an eye on this one.
