Ran across this clippping some months ago on fleanbay and put in my watch list. Was brrousing recently and enlarged the photo and realized the revolver was a 3.5" RM/NRM so I sent an offer. This was from a 1941 Popular Mechanics.

These numbers are on a 1911 shipped nickel Triple Lock. To my eye they are 38.40 which is not the typical code I've seen stamped on other factory return guns. Date code or ? Thanks
