    Dolled up

It is my lowest cost 1911! My only 9mm 1911. But it functions well. I had sight issues with it. So, Tru Glo Fiber Optic sights. They made a big difference. Bought some Camel Bone Grips. Did not my Colt Commander, so did a little Dremel work and put them on this. Have 5 1911's in all. Bob

    Contrast

Always liked contrast on guns. My 17-2 from 1964 wearing plastic/ resin stocks. Even show a yellowish cast as Ivory can. Picked them up here on the Forum. Had to minor alterations, and buff them a little with fine rubbing compound and a soft rag. Thanks, offroadmania! {Matt} Bob

    1911 .38 Super

I have been thinking about this a while so going to present the question on 38 Super. What seems to be the advantage to owning 1. Have 2 45ACP's, a .40 Commander, and a 9mm. {1911's} I hand load, so not too worried about ammo price. Are they far more accurate? Any input would be appreciated...

    A Tale of 2 45's

I like 45 caliber as many do. These 2 are kinda of cousins. 625 JM, and 25-15. One is ACP, and the 25 is Colt. Thought I would take some pics of them together. Nothing rare about them, and they both have the HOLE. {Doesn't matter that much to me} Kudos to those of you that take great pictures. Bob

    Any wood experts?

I picked up these 1911 grips on that site because price was right, and love the grain in the wood. But I am curious as to what type of wood it is. No marking on them except pencil 751 or 757. If you have any ideas let me know. Thanks, Bob

    Winchester 62A update

A good friend of mine from Illinois gave me this 62A, Oct. 2020. Posted it before, but was tired of it just being in a soft rifle bag. So..... he shamed me into getting my case up. Hate making holes in the walls. Bottom line is that it looks much better like this. Bob
