I have just come across a Model 27 with a 5 inch barrel P&R marked as a 29-2 in the frame. Serial number is N136405 and appears on the usual 2 places on the frame and under the extractor. Has the checkering on top of barrel and rear sight. Are these rare ?? Looks like I posted in the wrong...
