I have what I think is a .38 hand ejector model 1905 4th change. It is serial number 306447. The markings on the barrel and frame all look good, except there is no S&W logo on the frame. It is nickel plated. Was the logo plated over? I appreciate your help.

I'm a new guy from Georgia. I have had model 36s for years and years. They are sure handy. I just got a .38 special hand ejector model 1905 4th change from a neighbor's garage sale, which got me to looking at this forum.
