What primer do you use with 2400? I have an older Speer book that calls for magnum small pistol primers. Do you use mag primers?

Took my 66 no dash with all stainless sights to the range the other day. I had some trouble seeing the sights when the clouds rolled in. Does anyone sell something to put on the front sight that will come off easly? Is this a good idea?
