    PRE Model 12

Have looked at a Pre 12 snub with bad finish. Thinking of using for a carry gun around the farm. Is shooting +P on a very limited basis safe? What kind of finish is on the old Airweights? Looks almost like paint on a Model 43 and Model 37 that I own. This gun has a steel cylinder, so this...

    Moving front sight on Shield

I recently purchased a Shield and the front sight is about .060 to the right of center. I cannot get the sight to move with a brass drift. Has anybody adjusted a front sight and did you have to use a sight pusher? BTW this gun has about 250 rounds and runs great. Thanks for any advice

    1917 .45 ACP

Have recently found a 1917 Brazil and plan to make a "belly gun". How is the front sight attached? Is it machined or a seperate piece that is silver solder to barrel? Are modern loads safe for this gun?

    19-0 Bad finish

I have a 19-0 with a very worn finish. The finish is past the "honest wear" stage. There is not any pitting and mechanical condition is very good. I have entertained the idea of bead blast and blue. Does anyone have any opinions and or pictures of this treatment. Thanks in advance for your help...

    RE-blued Outdoorsman

I don't have any pictures of a re-blued Outdoorsman 656XXX which dates it about 1935. What does this do to the value ? Blueing was not performed by sending back to the factory. The stocks are correct, but don't know if they number to the gun. The action seems usable and there is no box, tools etc...

    R.M. purchasing guidelines

While at a gunshop I handled a R.M. and admired it. Have been thinking of purchasing as an investment. What are the pitfalls of purchasing these guns? I don't have any pictures of this gun,but it looked to be in fair shape, with box. Looked to be all orignal at first glance. Now for the question...

    cracked forcing cone question

Purchased 13-3 3in. today at a gun shop and upon examination after cleaning and using a light found the gun had cracked forcing cone. I think the reason the forcing cone had problems was because a bullet had stuck in the barrel and another was fired behind it. The barrel had a very slight bulge...
