    3" mag barrel on a 2-3/4" receiver/shotgun?

Any thoughts/experience firing 2-3/4 12ga shells through a 3" 12ga barrel on a model 1000 originally chambered for 2-3/4 only? I measured the receiver ejection port/opening both my 2-3/4" and 3" 1000s and its identical. Could it be S&W made both receivers and guts identical, with the barrel...

What size is the front sight bead? (1000M / 3000)

Hey guys, I just picked up my third 1000 (3" M model with a fixed full barrel) and it has a front fiber optic sight screwed in place of the original bead. I've been shooting these things so long that just doesn't seem right. Does anyone know offhand what the thread pitch/size of the original...

Looking for model 1000 12 ga shotgun barrel

I'm looking for a 20ga S&W 3000 pump shotgun. I'm in North Texas. I've hunted with my 3000 12ga since '84 when I got it new at age 15 and have 2 others 12ga 3000s. Love 'em! Thanks! Found one close to home. Really happy, guys. I paid $350. I'd say she's a 6.5-7 out of a 10, just like I like...

Advice on a S&W 3000 shotgun flashlight mount

Glad I found this forum. I just picked up a nearly mint M3000 police model with a 3" chamber (don't have the magazine extension on it) and would like to mount a flashlight somehow. But I don't want to marr up the jewel-like finish. I'm looking at a magnetic mount called a BeamLokr... Wondering...
