Took to range for initial firing, had some odd occurrences of gun going bang but trigger not returning to ready fire position instead being "stuck" back. Able to pull trigger forward and resume firing. No failures to fire. No difficult extraction of empty moon clips. Fired 12 7 round clips...

Have 629PC 2 3/8" with 3 grips and nice Lobo holster that due to my arthritic condition, I doubt I will ever shoot again. Can shoot the same loads out of a 629 5" without problem. But the 44 Mag snub that was so much fun in my youth is nothing but painful in my old age. There's a 986PC 2 3/8"...

Spring cleaning had me attack my brass stockpile. 9 calibers reloaded. Feel comfortable with the 10mm, 38 Special, 357 Mag and 44 Mag quantities of brass on hand. But for: 9mm 40S&W 45ACP 5.56N/.223 Looks like 9mm and 45ACP go for around $0.12/ea once fired with 40SW only around $0.06/ea...

N-frame lineup for spring bear. The Taurus 8 3/8" is usually scoped in a bandolier holster as the main. The 610 is amongst the most accurate of wheel guns I have come across. The 5" 629 just feels right. The 2 5/8" PC 629 is my bear season backup. Anybody else out for spring bear season?

2 things have come to my attention when disassembling a colleague's M&P10: Drop in trigger modules are impeded by the ambi bolt release which must be removed in order to install. Recommend going with non-modular upgrade to trigger due to this. Factory trigger pins are funky, non-mil-spec...

Was able to fondle one of these today. Castle nut is not properly staked, neither was the gas-key. That being said, the ambi safety, mag release and bolt release are pretty slick. Handguards seem cheap, plastic only without metal heat shields, or so it appeared. Flash hider is kinda funky...

Better-mag Ran across this and ordered one. This way, I can use my 15-22 mags with my dedicated 22LR upper on my AR-15 lower. The Black Dog mags are OK but not as good as the 15-22 mags. I am well-stocked with 15-22 mags.

So this matches up with the Talo Pink Platinum I got for my wife last year and the M&P15-22P too. Nice to have 3 running the same mags. 100% reliability going through nearly 500 rounds today in the new Realtree. Big smile.:) I also have an AR-15 lower that I built with a 22LR upper running...

I must confess... I tend to sway folks. I'd say at least 5 separate M&P15-22 purchases are my fault after letting the poor soul fire my 15-22s. They fall in love, run to the nearest LGS and buy one. Heck, 2 have wanted to buy mine off of me on the spot! Too bad S&W doesn't have a referral...
