    My 686 4" issues

Have several S&W revolvers and love them. In November I bought a 686 4" which must have been built on a Monday. First trip to the range and it wouldn't cock single action. Double action, the trigger wouldn't reset. On one occasion I got it to cock single action and as I raised it to the target...

    What would you do?

I was very excited to find this 686 plus 4" at my LGS and grabbed it right away. While cleaning it before taking it to the range I discovered a "cosmetic" flaw that in no way will affect the performance but just looks bad. What do I do? Return it or just shoot it?

    Grip change

I have several S&W revolvers with wood grips (686+) but recently bought a 686 plus 4" that has a rubber grip with the screw at the bottom. Can I change out this grip for wood grips with the screw in the center of the grip vs the bottom? And, what would you recommend? Thanks Got ahead of myself...

    Two new 686's

Just got my new 686-6 Deluxe and now have it and a 686 3" with 500 rounds through it which convinced me to buy the 6". Have always been pretty much a Semi-auto guy but after buying several Uberti and Pietta revolvers, I decided to try Smith & Wesson. Really like the feel and accuracy of my 3"...

Sold Pending Funds: Pro Series 9mm For Sale

I have a 9mm Pro Series 1911 that is just occupying space in my safe. I really like the gun, but just don't use it, so I guess it's time to move it on to somebody that will give it the attention it needs. It has a total of 350 rounds through it and looks like a new gun. No scratches or "idiot...

For Sale: Like New S&W 1911 Pro Series 9mm

As much as I hate to let it go, go it must. This S&W 1911 Pro Series 9mm is like new with exactly 425 rounds through it and never had an issue. No idiot marks or other defects anywhere on the gun. I am firm on the price of $1000.00 plus shipping to an FFL. If you are interested, email me at...

    Question??

I should know the answer to this because I own two AR's but I don't. What holds the takedown pin in the lower when you break it down. The front pin stays in place but the rear one comes completely out and is loose after it is pushed back in. I'm afraid it's going to fall out. Is it an "O" ring...

Sights for SW1911 9mm Pro Series

First let me say that I really enjoy my 1911 Pro Series. Great weapon and very accurate. Problem is that I hate the sights. I like that the rear sight is adjustable, but what I don't like is that it doesn't have any "dots" and neither does the front. I have searched the web for replacements...

My favorite handgun 1911 Pro Series 9mm

I know that all the purists believe that 1911's should be 45's, but I can tell you with no doubt that the Pro Series 1911 9mm is an exceptional weapon. I am far from being anywhere near a "great" shot with a handgun, but this gun makes me look good. It feels good (a little heavy) fits my hand...

1911 Pro Series Going back to S&W

Took my 1911 Pro Series 9mm to the range yesterday and found that the rear sight adjustment screw will only turn three clicks in either direction and then binds up tight. Sent a note to S&W and they are giving me a return label to send it to them. Anybody else run into this?

    Right place right time

I have been looking all over the net for a 1911 Pro Series 9mm and walked into my LGS this afternoon and guess what they had. Yup! They had just got some in (don't know how many) and I couldn't believe it. Can't wait to get to the range tomorrow and give it a go. Right place right time. Still...

    Granddaughter and M&P 15-22

Finally, Mom said yes and I got to take my 7 year old Granddaughter out to shoot a few rounds with the 15-22. She had a ball, and I know my ammo cost just went up. Oh well, building memories, right!:)

    New to the Forum

Just saying hello. I have recently bought a S&W 15-22 that I put a red dot on and enjoy shooting this weapon. I wanted a 223 but decided it was much cheaper plinking with the 22LR. I really enjoy this forum and thanks for letting me in. Dave
