    Fast bullet sizer

Back in June I was lurking on the Cast boolits forum when I saw a really nice idea. A fellow there was demonstrating his fast bullet sizer and I let that sort of bounce around in the empty space between my ears for a couple of weeks and then I went back and looked at it again and saved...

Shooting bowling pins with a 45

I went to a bowling pin match at the Pearland Shooting Club Sunday and besides shooting bowling pins I shot some video. This is done by an old fart with an old cell phone so if you need Hollywood quality video this aint it. It is less than ten minutes of the 4 hours of shooting but it includes...

    My high primers lowered

When I switch from small to large primers or vice versa I tend to get some cartridges with high primers. So I built a tool that pushes them in and keeps me from pulling bullets or whatever. I have a video of it here. High Primer tool for reloading - YouTube

Had to improve my Remington gun rest

The guys over on the G&G forum are having a benchrest match. I inquired about using my single piece rest and they said no way, got to be two piece. So after looking around the house I find I still have a inexpensive Remington rest and so I modified it to be a bit more stable. I guess we will...

Shooting sequins at 50 yards with a 22 LR

I go to Bayou Rifles (Houston) every month on the third Sunday for smallbore benchrest shooting (22LR). We shoot three regulation benchrest targets then we have been having an aspirin shoot. The aspirin shoot works as follows; you pay a $5 entry fee and the target you shoot at is a regulation...

    Stump shoot

Every 5th Sunday we have a 22 fun shoot at the Pearland shooting club. We start out with rifles shooting at two plate racks. We usually have 20 to 30 people so you could never get finished if you were to shoot against each of the other people so we shoot five times against 5 other people...

How many rounds does it take to wear out a barrel

I have a S&W 22A that I have so far shot more than two cases (5250 rounds each) through. It was easy to recognize when the firing pin and the plastic recoil buffers needed replacement. But how many rounds does it normally take to wear out the barrel? What are good tests of barrel condition?

Are Smith and Wesson guns metric?

Are the screws on Smith and Wesson pistols metric? I ask because I have a 22A and the rail on top is loose. I need to get an allen wrench of the right size to tighten it up but am not sure if I am looking for a metric allen wrench or a inch size. All I know for sure is that I do not have one...

    New member from Houston

I am almost as old as dirt and retired. I entertain myself shooting paper targets. The only S&W I am lucky enough to own is a 22A pistol that I am very fond of. I tend to ask a lot of questions, some of them even make sense. =(;-)
