    Broken RCBS 10-10 scale base

As a part of a trade deal I sight unseen I received this 10-10 scale. It is in perfect condition except for the scale base. Somewhere in its life something happened to the two rear pivot legs which are now missing. In their place a pair of washers were screwed on to provide the rear pivot point...

    Old Hornady .358 SWC OAL

In a package deal from an estate sale I got box and a half of some very vintage red cardboard box Hornady #3588 .358 SWC bullets. Unfortunately my Hornady manual is a newer version  which they now call this bullet a #10408 seated for a 1.455 OAL in .38 and 1.59 in .357. Does anyone have an old...

    Saving old brass

Hopefully this does not turn into testimonials of unobtainium pins in a Mr Fusion cryogenic centrifuge, I am strictly small time working on less than 400 pieces of brass.  I was given some old brass from a neighbor who has had it in a closet since his father passed. In the box was some  .38...

Final report...Model 64-8 and Rem primers

Has anyone had any any trouble with Rem standard small pistol primers in firing pin model revolvers? My wife's 64-8 had misfires with 4 out of one box and 2 on from a second of my reloads that used Rem primers i picked up during the run on reloading supplies. Both times I switched to diffrent...

W.R.A 38 Special Brass identification Pix added

I recently acquired a bag full of assorted .38 brass in trade. Amongst the brass were 60~70 pieces of brass marked: W.R.A. 38 special, Googling the headstamp confirmed that it is Winchester brass probably from the 40's or so. Now for the fun part, the brass has 3 cannelures one in the expected...

    ***Found****Carbide Sizing Die

Last year I started into reloading and was able to acquire a RCBS RC II press, scale, 2 die sets and misc accessories for a great price. I promptly started feeding my 9mm and 38Spl with new Lee dies. Later on I got a .357 and started loading for it as well. One of the die sets that came with...

    M&P9 FS Range Report

Went to the range and fired off a box of my 124g reloads. As always the pistol fired properly and the rounds went where I pointed them. My only problem was that only one or two pieces of brass fell into the catch bucket I had set out to catch them What should I do to correct this serious...

    No safety hole?

In talking pistols today with another owner he stated that his "early" FS 9mm does not have the hole (and plug) for the manual safety. Is there a hole/ no hole version of the frame? I was under the belief they were all the same..... Thanks George

    Holster options

Simple question... i think. Without getting into the realm of zillion dollar custom rigs, or starting a range war,:p is there a decent budget priced holster that will work with both a full sized standard M&P and a 4in Model 10 for everyday carry?

    The answer??

I have poke and prodded but my google-foo is weak... I have a model 64-8 and have not been able to find the proper torque for the yoke screw and the 2 side plate screws. All the refrences including a Military Tech manual just say tighten which is rather subjective expecially for the yoke screw...
