Long story, but a .223/5.56 round struck and destroyed the tip of my S&W 15-22 barrel. It is unrecoverable. See attached pictures. My gunsmith could cut and crown the barrel, but then it would need to become a pistol. I spoke with S&W customer service, and they do not have a solution for me...
