I have a 1905 M&P 4th change with a very old poor nickle plate finish. I am thinking of removing the nickle plate with an appropriate liquid soak and then reblueing (Birch & Casey) Except for ther finish. the gun is good condition. Any suggestions before I do the deed?
I just acquired a S&W Model 10-5, three screw, pinned barrel. The finish has turned a dull gray. Can I restore it to a somewhat glossier surface? The revolver was made in 1971 or 1972.
