Wondering how reliable the magguts are for the shield 7 and 8 round mags? Anybody have any positive or negative issues?

The shield has been out for about 4 years now. I've been thinking about buying one for the last month or so. Kind of waiting till shot show was over to see if any new models would come out. I know the performance center shield is new. Would seriously consider it if it didn't have a thumb...
