I really don't know the answer to this.

I've been reading a lot about J frames and now I just read a post about N frames. All I know is that they are types of revolvers. What is the difference and how many other * frames are out there?

    Success story

I just heard this on the news. Perfect outcome. An attempted robbery in St. Paul became a shooting after the intended victim pulled out his legally permitted firearm. Police say it happened Tuesday night just before 8 p.m. at 5th and Wacouta streets in St. Paul. The robber pulled out a gun...

    Shooting at Colorado Walmart

From the Denver Post - "Shoppers pulled guns in response to Thornton Walmart shooting, but police say that slowed investigation. Authorities had to eliminate possible suspects from surveillance video." Armed Walmart shoppers slowed police in shooting investigation I've been taught not to pull...

    Bench rest or free hand

I read many reports and see photo proof of shooters getting nice groupings at different distances and I'm wondering how many of these are accomplished using a bench rest and how many free hand. How do most of you practice? Myself, I never use a bench rest.

    SD9 trigger travel

I am just having a heck of a time getting used to the trigger on this bugger. I think my main issue is the resistance all the way to the actual point of firing. I find myself wondering when the stupid thing will finally go bang. I've recently dry fired a few other pistols at a gun shop recently...

    Ammo advice

Are there any brands of 9mm ammo not recommended? I recently purchased the SD9VE and have been shooting what was locally on sale which is American Eagle 115 grain. I've read that this pistol handles all types of ammo nicely but there are quite a few brands available online so there are more than...

    Are the savings worth it?

I haven't reloaded anything for decades and when I did do it, it was to save money. In the case of 9mm, if a person shoots only 100 rounds per month, is it worth going this route?

    Dry firing

Many years ago I'd always read that dry firing was hard on guns. Is this still true?

First hand gun in many years.

I haven't had a hand gun or a desire to own one in many years. I used to have an S & W .38 six shooter but couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with it. I also owned a .22 Ruger and was a dead eye with that one. After buying a cabin in northern MN and taking my dog for a walk in a state forest...

    Broke slave pin

I just bought an SD9VE last week and already broke it. Yep, I'm talented. I called S & W and they're going to put the recoil spring assembly in the mail today, which impressed me. However, I really wanted it for the weekend and it probably won't get here until I've left. Is there any way to get...
