The eruption of Mt. Saint Helens was a really big boom. Amazing to see such power on display. I got to fly into the area 3 years after. To see the damage up close was incredible. Makes you feel very small and weak.

WWII in Europe ended 80 years ago. What an accomplishment. Millions dead and mass destruction on the most densely populated continent. Few vets left from that one. We can never thank all involved, impossible. Just remember and pray for them.

We had a couple really nice days. So the bugs are out in force. A couple big nasty flies are loose in the house. Saw a big wasp yesterday, but he moved on. At least no skeeters or fruit flies yet. My fly swatter is at the ready.

Actor Kevyn Major Howard has passed. He was Rafter Man in Full Metal Jacket. Was in many other films as well. He was 69. RIP.
