    Newer Factory S&W Grips

I recently picked up a pair of S&W packaged grips. When did S&W stop making these, or can you still get them? These were both purchased for my 686 plus, so I needed the round bottom. Figured I would buy both and then decide which I liked better. I was surprised that the Cocobolas looked and...

FOUND: S&W K/L round conversion target grips for 686

I only have the black rubber grips the gun came with, so looking to spice things up a little. Only looking for factory grips with medallions. Will consider S&W factory grips of styles other than Target.

    1938/39 .22/32 box

Could anyone share a photo? If I can't locate one I will probably try to create my own as one of several projects to keep busy over the next few weeks. Thanks.

    22/32 accidental collection

I put in a low bid on this 1938/39 22/32 and accidentally won. Then found a 'Walter F. Roper' signed letter on eBay and it just happened to reference the 22/32. But I did buy the 1931 S&W catalog on purpose. Now I just need a letter.

    Anyone heading for the woods?

I'll be leaving soon for an extended camping trip with my coonhound. I'm a little older and don't handle even the normal flu well (it always ends up going to my chest) and I live with someone who is going back to work, so I need to leave for a while. I'm not one of those Idaho bunker guys, but...

    My favorite handguns

The coronavirus pandemic has made many of us look at what's actually important to us. My monthly income went down by $3,000 a month in days. I'll be okay, but I decided to sell a few hand-guns to cover the lost income. Here are the ones that survived the cut: left, top-to-bottom - 1918...

    Erfurt Luger advice needed

I just picked up a 1918 Erfurt Luger. It appears to be in nice condition; however, it has an after-market magazine. When I put the mag in and try to lock the toggle, it won't stay. Is that because the spring in the magazine isn't strong enough? Or could there be another problem? Also, I...

Just picked up the M17 Surplus and haven't yet fired the W.German P226. As soon as the ammo arrives I will take both to the range.

    Unknown fancy grips

Picked up these old grips today. Any idea who made these? Very nice wood grain, but someone added a thick layer of finish over the original. They appear to be for a butt about the size of an N-frame, but the cut at the top isn't close.

    Washington State Gun Control Bills

Senators in Olympia had hearings yesterday and today regarding various gun-control bills. The one I have the most interest in is 6077, which "would ban the manufacture, possession, sale, transfer, etc. of standard capacity magazines that hold more than ten rounds of ammunition." The bill will...

    M17 P320 Surplus

Curious what forum members think about this latest Sig effort. I figured there must have been a discussion about it here, but was unable to locate anything in my searches. I have been following these on GB and the prices just seemed unreasonable for what you were getting - $1.1-1.4K for...

    2020 Python vs 686

I've asked this question in several threads over multiple forums, and I can't get a straight answer. I'll preface this by stating that I love my 1970 Colt Python and 1954 Colt 3-5-7 (the only Colts I own), and I also love ALL of my S&W revolvers (six so far). I only acquired the Colts as...

    .22/32 fun at the range

Took these two out to the range for the first time last week. I mistakenly thought the 3" 60-15 .357 would be fun to shoot and planned on giving it to my gf. That would have been a big mistake. I knew the .22 would be pleasant. The .357 was anything but pleasant - 5 rounds of .357 were hell...
