Was just at the website and I didn't see the Model 67 anymore. I had to do a search to come up with the gun. Granted, its probably not their biggest seller, but is it a "specialty" item these days or has S&W just abbreviated their website?

Forgive me if this seems like a stupid question, but I've always wondered, what is the difference between a 396 and a 696? I've seen both guns and have never noticed a difference. I figure I gotta be missing something.

A friend recently picked up a 6" 686. My question is about those wonderful grips. Looks really good and the owner says they feel great. I noticed the company logo is on them, so I'm wondering; is this wood grips all the new guns get these days?

Greeting from the PNW! Have yet to own one, but a long time fan. In my mid-50's now, but been shooting since I was a little kid. Used to do a lot of hunting in my younger days, too. Anyway, hope to have a good time here and maybe learn a thing or two while I'm at it. :)
