So I don't conflict with anything posted by Narragansett, here's a separate funnies thread.
As for myself, it just dawned on me that I can't start 2025 off on the right foot!
2024 was not a pleasant year by any stretch but I survived.

It was a birthday present and a companion for my Model 27. My new 586 sure is purty, but the stocks were a bit uncomfortable, so I ordered a set of smooth stocks from...
A Ruger 75th Anniversary Mark IV...Got a great deal and had a set of Thumbrest Grips, a Halo Ring, and a red dot laying around and this is the result. Haven't been able to get to the range yet, though... :(
I always seem to gravitate toward some favorites for
range day, so I divvied up a few into two 4 gun cases for easy carry to the range. Here's the contents:
Case 1: 29-2, 15-3, 14-3, 28-2
Case 2: 34-1, 13-2, 19-3, 17-2
Can't wait! My LGS had one in the case last week and, while I was buying some ammo, it got sold .
Found one at another shop! At a better price even!
Found them at the bottom of a box of bayonets and other miscellaneous "stuff". Thought I'd re-finish them because they were covered with green/yellow moldy stuff. Well, the finish underneath all the schmutz was hard, so I cleaned them with mineral spirits, then hit them with 1500 grit sandpaper...

I went there today today and brought my...
I've been looking for a long time to find one that wasn't all beat up and this one just popped up on my computer screen a week ago. Didn't have the original box, but that's OK with me.
The kicker was the box that it came in. Everyone in my LGS went silent when the staff brought it out from the...
I need some work done on my 48-4 and S&W Factory Service is no longer taking charge work.
I thought I had it figured out, but after 50 rounds, the cylinder just locked up and would not index to the next round (both SA and DA).
Can anyone on the forum recommend a smith in RI or MA?
Thanks!
I have 1000 rds of Federal .22LR, 40 grain round nose (blue and white box) that are causing a ridiculous amount of leading in two of my guns. One is a Walther/Colt 1911 and the other is a Browning Challenger II.
I've also had the same issue with Thunderbolt ammo...so much so that I stopped...
