    Kershaw Dividend Composite Blade

I took a break from collecting Case pocket knives and bought a Kershaw Dividend assisted opening knife from an EBay seller in Texas. This knife features light weight and a composite blade with N690 steel on the upper portion and CMP D2 on the lower. I have never owned a knife with a blade like...

    Case Pocket Knives

I've got a small collection of Case Pocket Knives going. I'm not a serious knife collector, so if you have some impressive collections out there, I would like to see them. From top to bottom: 1. Small Stockman genuine Sambar Stag 2. Medium Stockman, Autumn Bone 3. Medium Stockman, Amber Bone...

More Bad Press for Sig Sauer's M18 Handgun

Now the military is getting involved with the controversy surrounding the Sig P320/M18. This inadvertent discharge and death of an Airman is still being investigated. https://www.businessinsider.com/air-force-airman-death-m18-safety-concerns-2025-7

    NRA-ILA 50-Years Knife

I've gotten several Chinese knives over the years from NRA for contributions or extending my membership. I figured receiving this one following my contribution would be no different. However, when I got this one I noticed a much higher quality knife with an excellent sharp blade. This large...

    Ruger Acquires Anderson Manufacturing

The good folks in Hebron, KY are not going away, they're simply changing their name to Ruger. https://www.shootingillustrated.com/content/ruger-acquires-anderson-manufacturing/

    Plinking Fun Chinese SKS

Got in a little trigger time with the SKS Carbine. This rifle will never be a target rifle, because of the heavy trigger and crude sights (not to mention my 73-year old eyes; is that the front sight or the target?). Nevertheless, it is still shooting to point of aim at 100 yards with Wolf...

    My First "Black Rifle"

My first black rifle was not an AR platform. Through Gallery of Guns I ordered an Arsenal SGL 21-61 pictured here. I received the rifle in late 2012 after it was delivered to a local dealer. These rifles originated in Russia as a Saiga, semi-auto sporting rifle. They were modified by Arsenal...

At the range with my Anderson AM-15 2019 build

Thought I would share this little gem of a carbine. I built it in 2019 at the ripe old age of 69 (should have done this when I was a lot younger). Yesterday I was shooting it at 100 yards on a bullseye target with some .223 handloads wit Hornady 55-grain V-max. Here is the details on this...

    CZ-52 Czech Military Sidearm

I have three pistols chambered in the 7.62x25 Soviet pistol round. Of the three, the strongest and most unique piece is the Czech CZ-52. This pistol was originally designed in 9x19 (9MM Luger) but the Soviets insisted that all Warsaw Pact members chamber their weapons in Soviet standard...

    Gun Store Eye Candy

There was lots of "eye candy" at the local pawn and gun today. Some beautiful Colt Pythons, S&W Models 19 and 29, Beretta 92X1, final edition Walther P99AS, not to mention a bunch of Bond Arms derringers. I wanted all of them.

Today's Favorite Gun -- Ruger American Rimfire

The favorite is always the last one I shot at the range. Today, it was just good old fun plinking at some 50 yard paper. This rifle is not shooting bad for a sporter with a discontinued Leupold Rifleman 2x7x33 centerfire scope. The ammo was Wolf (Ruag) Match Extra 40-grain solid.

    1903 Hand Ejector

I enjoyed reading this article. I don't own an I-Frame S&W. I sure would like to know where the author found this one for that low price. The S&W Model 1903 - Affordable Old Guns - GAT Daily (Guns Ammo Tactical)

    Lever gun? Really?

I can't believe what the firearms industry is coming up with these days. Would someone really buy this ugly thing? I guess I am truly a 20th Century person and I've watched too many episodes of "Gunsmoke" and seen too many John Wayne movies. If it's not blue steel and wood, it can't be a real...

.380 ACP Handload with Power Pistol

I've been reloading since 1981, but I am relatively new to reloading .380 Auto. I'm using Hornady Custom dies and, until recently, my go-to propellant has been Winchester 231. The bullet I'm using is Hornady's 100 grain FMJ. I've loaded this box with 3.9 grains of Alliant Power Pistol, but...

Bridging the Generation Gap with a 65-5

My club only has two outdoor pistol ranges. Yesterday, when I pulled up in the Tacoma, both ranges were occupied. Two young guys who were on range #1 saw that I was waiting on a range and invited me to come shoot with them. They had a steel target setup at about 20 yards and were shooting...

    What's In the Box?

I admit; I have three revolvers that I acquired without the original box or papers. However, being the geek that I am, I decided to try to reconstruct the revolvers' boxes and the accessories the way it would have been shipped from the factory. In this effort, I acquired some vintage S&W...

    Russian Mosin Nagant Forum

I've been on the Mosin Nagant Forum for several years. It's a forum similar to this one with discussion topics, not just on Mosin Nagants, but on all types of military and commercial firearms. The forum went down for several days due to a malware attack, but thanks to the great efforts of the...

    7.62x39 Hornady Zombie Max

Buried in the back of my 7.62x39 "specialty ammo" stash I found this 20-round box of Hornady "Zombie Max" steel-case 123 grain Z-Max. Think I bought this somewhere around 2012. I'm sure it's been discontinued, so it's not for shooting, it's just for looking at, but I have it, just in case the...
