Those screws have been messed up by someone that didn't know what they were doing. Are you saying the factory did that?

    Quality Control

I have been buy S&W's for over 50 years, bought more both used and new than I can count. I thoroughly inspect my guns. But there are problems you can't know about until you fire them. I have never had to send a revolver back, but in the last few years I have had to send a Shield and a SW1911...

    Quality Control

I do my own action jobs on revolvers. I'm a retired Toolmaker, but if you have good basic mechanical skills and can follow instructions it's not hard. Jerry Miculek's has a DVD called "Trigger Job". It covers K,L,N frame trigger jobs. If you could get your hands on a copy, it's an excellent...

    Quality Control

I'm a S&W FanBoy. I've been buying Smith & Wesson's for over 45 years and will continue to do so; they have a great product. So, I don't stomp my feet, hold my breath and say I'll never buy another one; that would be a lie. But I can say I'll never waste my money on a "Performance Center" gun...

    Model 60 info

I have a Model 36 that has been performing J-frame duties for almost 50 years. I'd like to retire it and get a Model 60 in .357Mag. I wouldn't carry .357Mag in it, but having that ability is good.

    SHIELD X Series??

That's not true, but that horse has been beat to death time after time in here. :ROFLMAO: They sure won't sell if they aren't offered. ;)

    M&P Shield Plus

I got an email today on the Shield X. That might get rid of some other models.

Do ANY Shields shoot to POA from factory?

Eyes are different. I don't know that I have ever had any gun that has adjustable sights that I didn't have to adjust for me and the ammo I was using. My Shield is a belly gun though. At 15 yards in will hit center mass on a man-sized silhouette using point instinct shooting. I don't think I...

    SHIELD X Series??

I have a fullsize M&P, M&P Compact 2.0, and a M&P Shield, all in .40S&W. And a M&P 9L CORE thats a range gun. I also had a M&P40C, but after I bought my M&P Compact 2.0, I sold it, as I had no use for it. The compact 2.0 wasn't much bigger and had 13 or 15 round mags. I carry my Shield the...

1960's M41, hoping the enablers will help me here

Better snag it if you want it. I got an email from S&W today that this is the last chance to but a Model 41. They are implying they are going to discontinue them and have MSRP at $2200 to $2500. I think the last time I looked at them, MSRP (A year or two) was around $1200?? A new Model 41...

    Grips 617 Revolver - USA

Altamont is the manufacturer in central Illinois. I asked a few years ago if I could buy grips while I was visiting the area and they told me no. But that’s been several years ago. You might want to check. 901 N. Church Street Thomasboro, IL 61878 (800) 626-5774 [email protected]

    M&P9 15 Round Magazines??

I ordered a couple of these from Grab A Gun, it took 11 days to get them. I don’t know who makes them, but they came in a Smith & Wesson box and look identical to the originals other than 15 instead of 17 rounds.

    M&P9 15 Round Magazines??

I wonder if the 15 round mags listed on the S&W site and the mags with the same SKU listed on "grab a Gun" are the same quality as original 17 round S&W mags?? Anyone have these?? https://www.smith-wesson.com/product/m-p-magazine-9mm-luger-15-round...

How do you actually enjoy a Magnum caliber revolver?

Federal 158 grain .357 Mag HP’s are my favorite handgun self-defense round. It’s what is in my L & K frame revolvers for home protection. I rarely shoot them; I mostly shoot .38’s at the range. 357 Mag recoil isn’t a problem with my L & K frames, its just that they were expensive to shoot prior...

What Does The "A" After A Model Number Mean?

I suspect S&W is playing fast and loose with the "Performance Center" name just to get more money, and has been for a long time. I also suspect if my PC gun was ever even in the "Performance Center", it never got off the cart. I will still buy S&W's I think they make the best handguns there are...

    Jovino Model 60 3 inch

Don’t be. Send an email to S&W and let them put your mind at ease. These guns are made like a tank. J-frames aren’t target guns. And that’s not meant to take anything away from them, we all have them. We just don’t shoot matches with them. They are belly guns. If you are going to carry it, use...

    Jovino Model 60 3 inch

I use Federal .38 Hydra Shok in all my .38’s and HST in all my .357’s. Those are good finds. But I bet I'm not the only one that laughed out loud when I read "collectors' guns". :)
