    460 Mag Love

I had a few hours this afternoon... I probably should have been doing some honey dos, but I saw a great post (I think here) about a guy who put his cylinders in an ultra sonic with Simple Green. I've been dying to try it since I saw it. I used the Simple Green undiluted in a beaker, I filled...

    The Sig I almost bought.

Greyfox, good vent, I like to think things happen for a reason. I'd sure hate to be the guy who dropped the Sig when the boss gets a hold of him.

Is a S&W 500 Appropriate at an Indoor Range?

As a matter of fact I shot my .460 indoors today. I only shot 15 rounds and I let people know it was going to be loud. I notified the desk I'd be shooting it and they put me in with some military guys. Near by there is only an indoor range. If I'm going to shoot her I try to go during off hours...

    460 PC 10.5"

I am thinking about getting a machinist friend of mine to make a bipod mount that fits on the barrel sling mounting area of a 10.5" 460 PC model. Can anyone think of down side to this endeavor? Huang

Veterans Thanks... Today Was a Good Day

First on this Veterans day I would like to thank those of you who served our country a hearty thanks for your service. I spent my Veterans day shooting, and I also bought a few adult beverages for a fellow vet. I shot my new 460... I love this thing, I also let a couple young Marines have a go...

    460 S&W Mag

I will be trimming at first anyhow... you know those things go. I picked up a Forster trimmer, and as has been reported on the web the pilot is a little too big. So I got some 500 grit wet/dry sand paper and chucked that little puppy in the drill press, I then hit it with 1200 grit and finally...

    460 S&W Mag

Ok she is out of gun jail. I've shot a box of Hornady 200gn ammo. I LOVE THIS HAND HOWITZER. I need to reload for it now so I can afford to shoot it. My bud gave me some H110 and I have some IMR 2447. What are people using to trim this brass? The inter webs have useless in telling me how the...

Thanks ruggyh I will take your advice. Buddah or anyone else interested I combed the inter webs and found a great deal on a Lupold VX3 scope they only have one left, it's listed for $371 but as usual with the low ball web guys there is about $20 in shipping and handling but that's a great...

I'm so excited mine arrived at the LGS this afternoon. As I live in CA so she is in jail for 10 days. I got the 10" PC XVR. My pusher (the owner of the LGS) called and said your hand howitzer arrived and the box is so big it has wheels on it. I can't wait, I've wanted one for years. I have RCBS...

    Noob Idiot at work

Thanks to all those who helped or offered help. The gun is up an running again. I had pulled the hand out and therefore removed it from it's tensioning spring. I brought it to Discount Gun Mart here in San Diego and the gunsmith generously repaired it for me. Ric

    Noob Idiot at work

Yes all the problems seem to lie in the hand (no pun intended) I had no idea what a hand was until I found this "http://gunmanuals.net/Manuals/s&w_66.pdf" There does not seem to be a spring holding it

    Dillon 550

I use a 550 for 45, 357,9mm, and soon 223. I clean the primer setup good for every caliber change. I am also a wood worker, so I add some Drilube (paste wax would work too) to the primer slide and plate. The application of the Drilube does help eveything to run smoothly. Ric

    Noob Idiot at work

I have been reading this forum and I saw that every once and a while you should remove the cylinder and clean it real good! I think to myself I've never done that, and today is the day. My PC627 was shooting so well yesterday at the range I figured I'd treat her extra good. Well, following...
