    USMC Pre-"Officers Victory Model"? - #C234550

The earliest guns did not have the USP roll mark. Then the USMC started crudely marking them. Finally, the back straps were roll marked. You need one of each!

    Legit 2" U. S. 10-5

Gentlemen, with respect, can we talk all the machine gun chatter to a new thread? Garandy, in years of tracking/researching these I've only recorded about a dozen in existance and they were all USAF guns shipped in 1960 (C515XXX SN range). Yours is the only one I've seen from the 1970s.

    Model 39 prototype magazine??

It does not look like any Model 52 magazine that I've seen. That's why I suggested maybe 7.62.

    Model 39 prototype magazine??

I don't think it is a standard Model 39 (or pre 39) magazine, e.g. for 9mm. It might be a 7.65 Luger magazine. Hopefully, cougar15 will come along and tell us.

Trying to determine fair price for Aircrewman grips.

The USAF medallion grips were only used on the earliest prototype guns, both 5 shot and 6 shot. There are very few survivors—probably less than a dozen each. So, the grips are quite rare but perhaps not extremely valuable since there aren't any guns I know of that need them. Are they numbered?

Long overdue-will be fun to watch

There is enough history and attendant data that we should know that social engineering doesn't work. In this case, you are essentially giving people money. You want to restrict what I can spend it on? OK, I'll sell you my SNAP card for cash and then buy what I want. I know it isn't quite...

    Model 39

They didn't ship in strict SN order but yours probably shipped in 1962 or 1963.

    Beck & Gregg Hardware

Most of the guns that went to Mitch Werbell's operation--SIONICs or MAC--went through Beck & Gregg.

    A Scarce Victory Variation

Britain continued rationing until the mid-1950s and finished paying off their debts to the U.S. in 2006. Since they were paying for war materiel as quickly as they could we let them keep it.
