    Top 10 Registered Magnums

Retired FBI SA Larry Wack was a personal friend and many in the FBI will always consider him the true historian for the Bureau. Larry lost a long battle with cancer several years ago but his Faded Glory: Dusty Roads of an FBI Era lives on. Here is the story behind the above picture of RM #1 s...

    44 Magnum NT-430

Dave, look for the 1956 All Model Circular with the 44 Magnum shown which will be the first company advertisement for the 44 Magnum and the 357 Combat Magnum pre-19 listed with the K frames. The NT430 along with the KT 357 parts sheets are the first parts sheets for those revolvers and are the...

    1969 Tunnel Gun new Pic

Tunnel Gun Thought I'd repost a pic of the subject of this thread from about 12 years ago. Good to see this post get revived. It was an interesting concept in 1969 that unfortunately came a little too late to see much use in the VC tunnels of the Viet Nam war. I'll try and round up the rest of...

    Odd 29-1 Updated

Joe, thanks for saving me the trouble of replying just what you did. The case interior is respectable for the condition of the gun. I prefer that the case condition match the guns. Neither are safe queens but saw honest wear and tear in their lifetimes. I have the same wear and tear on me too...

    Odd 29-1 Updated

Thanks for all the great comments so far on this odd-ball 29-1. You guys fell right in line with every one of my thoughts about this example of the 29-1 that I acquired a couple of years ago. It's a three-screw frame with a ca 1958 serial number. By serial number it should be a 4-screw gun. It...

I've added a few more pics to this post and thank all of you who've made comments or sent me a pm on this odd ball of a 29-1. Today is the 20th anniversary of my becoming a S&W forum member so I wanted to make a posting for no other reason, really, than I'm just glad to still be here 20 years...

    WTB Pre-29

Hi, I'm looking to buy 4 pre-29 revolvers with the following serial numbers. S153866, S156260, S160728, S161569. These revolvers were shipped 12/14/1956 to JS Oshman's in Houston, TX. This was my 6th birthday. I'll buy any of these guns in any condition as long as the serial numbers and assembly...

    Another GB "crazy" Price

Believe I may have owned that gun at one time and if I remember right, I got about $800 for it, and it was in the original box. Definitely some substance, of some sort, abuse going on with the pricing. Yikes:eek:
