The only thing that would push a model 41 to the 3K range and beyond would be a 41-1 (22 short) in a rare barrel length with extra magazines. Model 41 magazines in 22 short are very valuable.

Another possibility is an mis-marked 17. Clearly a 8 3/8ths K22 is a 17. If not , like others have said , a barrel change is likely.

One advantage of these 1911 38 Supers is how easy they are to get a 9mm barrel , fit it to the gun and get some 1911 9mm magazines and have a 2 caliber gun.

The Goodyears look kinda funky. The good news is model 39 grips fit the 52 and they are easy to find.
