    Vintage 1956 Pre-24 how rare is a 5" barrel ?

Whether original or not, a 5" 24 or pre 24 would, to me, be the ultimate sixgun. I have two 24-3s in 4", and have toyed with the idea of having a 6.5" one cut to 5".

    Reloading the 357

A friend asked me to load 500 rounds of .44-40 for him several years ago. He supplied the components, and TiteGroup is what he brought me. I found it didn't meter particularly well, but I got his ammo loaded. I doubt he ever shot any of it. There was a good bit of Titegroup left over and he told...

Holy Molly, a 28-2 With Cokes

I didn't do quite that good but did get a 3.5" 5-screw .357 recently for $500 that was wearing a pair of non-relieved targets. Gun has some honest wear but timing and function are perfect. I was pleased.

Saw a 34-1 2” at Local Shop Today

I had a 2" 34 one time. Neat little gun but i couldn't hit the side of the house with it. Rear sight dialed all the way down it still shot high.

Prayers needed for special needs Granddaughter

Prayers from my corner of Alabama. May the God of all comfort bless Emma with his peace, comfort, and tenderest care, and may he use the surgeon's skills to give her a better quality of life. May all of your family know and feel his presence and power. In the holy name of Jesus, Amen.

    An Absolute Idiot

I'm pretty much to the point that nothing surprises me anymore - especially in the "how stupid can people get" department. Someone said "Quit asking 'how stupid can people get?' - they're taking it as a personal challenge."

    Traditional knives…

When I was a kid about 12-13 yrs old, I had a friend whose dad made pocketknives. I'm still pretty amazed by that skill. He had a big metal box full of them from pretty normal looking to some wild designs. He would let us get the box out and dig around in it time to time.

    Aluminum Frame / Steel Slide

I have used Lubriplate (white lithium) on the slide rails on all my autopistols for many years. Never had any issues with wear or galling.

    Lil’ Slugger

I'm an Ithaca 37 fan. This one stays at the ready, I have its twin in the safe, because, you know, two is one and one is none, or something like that. That, or I just like Ithaca 37s.

Tales From the East Texas Outback

I served as a Reserve Deputy for about a year in the late 70s. Had some interesting experiences, including being the first there at a murder scene a couple of times. Thought about going full time but there was a big walkout and squabble going on between the deputies and the county commission at...

    Hello from Tucson, AZ

Well, summers are hot and humid, as you might guess. Fresh green chile is hard to come by (major drawback). Hunting seasons are long with liberal bag limits (very good). Cost of living is fairly low. I was born and raised here, my wife is a New Mexico native, so we've always had dual...

    Hello from Tucson, AZ

Welcome from the NW corner of Alabama. We love Tucson, but its been some years since we were there. We lived in SW New Mexico for 10 years and made some trips to Tucson. Love the Arizona/Sonora Desert Museum and we have camped in a park south of town I think the county owned and operated?? Two...

    Model 66 grips

My estimate would be easily into the $750 range, maybe more. Your pics were focused on aspects of the grips, so maybe some close ups of the whole gun would be helpful if you decide to post a for sale ad.
