New to me 28-2 Snub Nose

I used to have this one that had been additionally converted to .44spl, sold here a number of years ago. Never lettered but had all the signs of being either a Jovino or Behlert. Fun little blaster, would've been a pussycat with .38s had it stayed original caliber.

    Advantages of 681 over 686?

I have an early no dash 686 and had an early 681. When I went through a divorce over 20 years ago I had to sell off a lot of things. Since I inherited the 686 when my dad passed in '92-he bought it new in 1981-the 681 was relunctantly one I let go. As far as on the range I found them equals...

    Uniform Hat/Cap

The cop with the bun looks like England, perhaps the Met? The sheriff’s department for the county I live in also recently adopted cowboy hats. I’ve only seen deputies wearing them at parades and such other festivals.

    The Beretta M9

Beretta came out with "sand cut" mags later on. During my son's first Iraq deployment; '06-'08 as a combat medic, I reached out to Beretta to get him a few more mags. The guy I spoke to was a former Marine, hooked me up at reduced prices sent a little care package to my son's APO. He never had...

    National Dog Day

A little late-I frequently dog sit my younger son and his wife’s two pups. Nugget is a 6 month old who’s mom is a Sharpei/French Bulldog mix and dad is a Bull Terrier. Burgie is 4.5 yrs and like a dachshund but with longer legs lol. They are awesome pups and love my big backyard.

    The Beretta M9

One of the most accurate non-custom pistols I ever owned was what's referred to as the "ghost" model-all stainless Italian made 92. I got talked out of it by a Beretta collector. Can you see what influenced me? LOL Jean Reno’s character’s pistol, not little Robbie’s’ 🤣

Spyderco knives - did a bit of research this morning and learned quite a bit!

I’m about 30-40 minutes from their store outside Golden, CO. Stop in every once in awhile on motorcycle rides. Fun to look at though I prefer Benchmade, specifically the Adamas.

    Banned Firearm

My range has also instituted a ban on the 320 plus the retail part of the business has pulled all the new ones and sent them back to Sig. I don’t know what they did with the few used ones they had. My older son has a specially marked M17 that Sig offered on his last/final deployment of his...

    640-1 price check

One of my sons is interested, not me, only J frame I enjoy anymore is my 63. I have others that provide the service a small revolver would provide 😎

    Astronaut James Lovell - RIP

As a child of the space age, born in 1956, the space race enthralled me like nothing else. Sitting in a cardboard box pretending to be an astronaut, getting to sit in the Gemini capsule at Smithsonian during a visit to my big sister in college at GW in D.C.-to me the astronauts were the coolest...

    640-1 price check

All the used guns get a thorough inspection by the in-house gunsmiths-a good group-prior to being offered for sale. Any faults if found are addressed.

    640-1 price check

That’s awesome lol ^. They do get a few discerning customers and items but mostly it’s plastic fantastic. Snubbies sit for awhile. My son went today again to look at it. He has a number of nice items but no revolvers until I give him my late dad’s 1981 686 no dash and my 1980 63. He’s thinking...

    640-1 price check

A local shop has a very clean 640-1, the one without the lock and 2” lug barrel, priced @ $475, that one of my sons is considering. The store will probably drop $50 or bucks on the price but then there’s still taxes (guns/ammo have an additional 6.5% here now) and the background check fee...

Camper heard yelling in the woods not in distress, just singing Nickelback

When I told my dad I was joining a band in my teens his response was “I’ll get you a bucket so you can carry a tune” 🤣. We actually went on to be the house band at a college bar, mostly did Eagle covers.
