    .22 LR Ammo

Aguila 40gr copper plated bullet high velocity solid point is what I shoot in all of my 22LRs. That includes my S&W prewar targets, post war targets and my GSG MP40, etc. It performs well in revolvers and autos. I had problems with Federal and Remington. Aguila is also easy on the wallet!

    A S&W in the Sought After 32-20

It is indeed a 5" barrel, not 6". The ejector star does not have pins. Case colors are good on the hammer and trigger. I will post more photos sometime today. This gun came out of AZ and I feel the very dry climate helped to preserve its condition. Not like Florida in my neck of the woods.

    A S&W in the Sought After 32-20

Several weeks ago I was surfing GB very late at night at a time when most are cutting ZZZZs (after 1am). I don't sleep. I am always looking for 32-20s for my shooter collection and one grabbed my attention, a square butt K-frame that had not received much bidder interest. And time was running...

    Silencer tax is history

As I am not a lawyer, why can we not include folding stocks as an "add on" to this review of ATF tax reductions? I have several "pistols" that would benefit my shooting if they had side folding or under folding stocks?

    Income Tax Time*****

I have been a fan of figuring out my annual taxes myself until the 2024 addition of Turbo tax. They went from a disk download to downloading from their web site and the ship hit the sand. This has been the most frustrating day of my existence on this fair blue globe. It would not allow me to use...

    Does Anyone Clean Firearms Anymore

Cleaning I shoot every gun I own and it is amazing how dirty some of the used ones are, at least dry of any lubrication. The old ones I buy at GB are aways in a dirty state of affairs. The buildup of dried oil mixed with carbon and unfired gunpowder creates a lacquer that needs a week of...

    The oldest firearm you have

My oldest Firearm Colt Walker 44 BP dated 1847. Came out of a collection in New Hampshire, a "parts" gun with a first model Dragoon serial number dated 1848.

    Eibar Parts vs, S&W

EIbar 32-20 The winning bid was $94 bucks. It will make a good wall hanger if it never gets a round thru it. A good soaking in my trans fluid concokshuld plus oil and #0000 steel wool will gussy it up a bit.It was the preverbial shot in the dark purchase! I don't have to worry about hurting...

    Eibar Parts vs, S&W

I just won a Spanish Eibar S&W clone in 32-20 on GB. Its in poor condition from its looks and was cheap to say the least. Are there any K frame parts that will be close enough to fitting this bucket of rust? From a hammer / fireing pin, etc. to springs and screws?

For the owners of .32-20 revolvers

32-20 Lead I currently own 8 S&W 32-20s which requires my attention to detail via reloading. Don't forget Georgia Arms sells cast bullets and I bought 500 a few weeks back when they had a sale going. I like their 98gr for my revolvers and Winchesters. They are usually at the gun shows in the...

    transfer fees

Fees My shooting range/gun shop charges me $25 for a transfer fee if you are a member or frequent shooter, You also get a 10% off all transactions if you are a vet. Its a veteran owned and operated facility. I'm out there 2-3xs a month, sometimes just to shoot the breeze with the guys.

    It Is Amazing !

Snow In Florida The weatherman on channel 10 reported for the first time ever that blizzard conditions could form over the panhandle of Florida!!! It seems that snow with a 35mph wind sets the stage. It is really snowing as I write this thread.

    Sideplate refinish?

Refinish I agree with the above with a couple of variations: substitute 0000 steel wool with 0000 brass wool and I use Van's Instant Gun Blue formulated by C. S. Van Gorden & Son if you can still find it. 4 oz will last a lifetime. Follow the directions on the bottle. The critical issue is...

    S&W 32 Long Find

Like a lot of us on this forum I spend a fair amount of time surfing the net for "targets of opportunity". Such an opportunity presented itself a couple of weeks ago on GB for the pricy sum of $349. After several days of contemplation and reading the tealeaves, I paid the price and took the...

Pre War N frame Sambar stags with P/W medallions.

Sambar Stag vs. Elk Stag I have a passion for N frame Smiths' dressed in stag both elk and Sambar. That is a very hansom pair of elk grips you have and I agree with the comments that they are Patrick's work. He has done a number of sets for me to include fossil bone. Here is a set that I picked...

    Firearms in your home ??

Yesterday I live in a rual area down a "no turn around road" populated with retired "gray wolves" that tend to shoot on their acreage. My two German Shepherds were standing at the fence as I took out the garbage. They probably heard movement in the patch of woods across the single lane dirt...

    Just for fun, Lend-Lease Victory

.38 S&W Chris, check the right grip for a serial number to see if it matches the one on the frame. That could be a prewar set of grips. I could not make out the "Made In USA" stamp in the photo. The diamond grips are a real plus.

    GSG MP-40 in 22LR

I have been looking at one of these guns in 22LR for months trying to decide is I want one or not. Yesterday, I pulled the pin and went for it, the one with the fake suppresser and brace. Got a good price and acted on it. If it works out will consider the 9mm caliber. Anybody got one of these...

    My First Regulation Police

I collect mostly N frame big caliber S&Ws but decided to dip my toes into the waters of the 32 Long variety of small frame revolvers. Many years ago I started out with breaktop 32s but the big 45s and 44 N frames won my heart. The world turns and now I have found a renewed interest in the .32L...
