    New to S&W, just bought a 686 6" Stainless

    Congratulations again. I did not find that the Pachmayr grips that came on my 686-6 from June 2007 (did get it used) fit my smaller hands, so tried a Hogue mono grip then the Bantam wooden model which fits me quite well. Just to let you know there are other ooptions as you learn what works...
