Two powders come to mind when flamecutting is mentioned. Tightgroup and Lil'gun have both had reports about this. Maybe that was one of the powders and not Trailboss? I don't even know if there is an application for Lil' gun in 38 special though.

I remember there were at least two different Hornady bullets in 75 grain weight at one time. One could not be loaded to "service rifle" length because the OAL prevented it from fitting into a detachable magazine so It was a bolt gun only load. Don't know if that helps. I just can't remember...

I seem to remember reading that it's changed at least four times over the years as the manufacturing plants have changed. If anyone has older stuff, you might want to chrono it and develop loads like you are loading a new powder. Maybe someone can clarify?

I've heard nothing but good things about them. Ordered some once fired brass that got here quickly and was in great shape. They even added a bunch of extras just in case some weren't loadable. Good folks.

I'd keep your receipt paperwork handy. That's a neat number for sure. The only issue that I can see is that the Police tend to enter model numbers on stolen Smith guns sometimes instead of serial numbers. IIRC, a few years ago a fellow officer entered "5906" into the system and it returned...
