J Frame Snub Owners: What is your favorite EDC Holster?

I’d rather carry a J Frame in a folded paper lunch bag than an Uncle Mike’s anything. Pocket Concealment Systems is the answer:

Front pocket /appendix holster for J frame, replace Uncle Mike's sidekick size 4 ?

You need to ditch those padded pocket holsters that make you look like you’re shoplifting a club sandwich. Far better are the offerings from Pocket Concealment Systems: elegant, slim, beautifully made and reliable:

Revolver vs. Semi Auto for CCW

My go-to comparison photo. I’m a whole lot more likely to hit the target with that Beretta than I am the J Frame. Neat revolver - just not for me.

    Gun Show (black) Gold

I had a Third-Gen S&W phase a few years ago. Nice pistols, but this is the one I should have kept:

The unavoidable gun fight. Are you confident with your handgun choice?

Not sure where I saw this but there is a chilling element of truth about it:

    Glock has really shocked me!

This has been a Glock-free household ever since I discovered the Walther line of striker-fired pistols like the P99 and the PPS. Sold all the Glocks and never, ever looked back.

Sad days at the range forces me to change EDC

In all the talk about carrying firearms and pocket carry, I hope to goodness everybody has a proper pocket holster that protects the trigger guard. My preference is for Pocket Concealment Systems which provide a secure and easily-concealed product, here with a Colt Pony Pocketlite DAO and a J...

5 pistols - size comparison - my own comments

I understand about size, caliber, and capacity, but I really like that Beretta 85.

    Ultra Reliable Sub-Compact 9mm

Another vote for the SIG P938 here, especially in the context of what I’ll call Boomer Carry. This is where time and tide have worked their magic and you can’t stand to carry a 1911 anymore. You can, however, carry that 938 very easily, in my case IWB in a Vedder holster, on my belt in a nice...

Let's talk J frame pocket holsters

I can’t stand those padded pocket holsters. When I carried a J frame, and even now when I carry small autos, my pocket holsters are made by Pocket Concealment Systems and they are really nice:

    The oldest firearm you have

I’ve got Great-Grandfather’s SAA Colt in .44-40, shown here with him and his mustache. Never fired it because I believe it is before smokeless powder and would hate to blow it up. Before they committed corporate suicide, I had US Firearms make a copy of Great Grandfather’s revolver, right...

    Which 9mm 1911 for EDC

I know they are discontinued, but the Dan Wesson ECO pistols are great, including the 9mm version. Like all the DW products I have encountered, they are reliable, accurate, and beautifully made and finished. Thank goodness I had enough sense to buy both this and the .45 version.

Recent events have forced me to change direction on my EDC

I’m a whole lot happier with 14 rounds of .380 than I am with five .38s, and have a far better chance of hitting the target with this Beretta 84, too.

The True Distance of a Typical Gunfight

This subject of close encounters is why I have become so enamored with a Colt Pony Pocketlite lately. Termed Colt’s answer to the Seecamp, it is a DAO version of the Mustang. Neat little pistol and apparently not too popular.

    Show us your Colts!

Not my Colt and I’m happy I wasn’t anywhere near when this happened. Nevertheless, it is (or maybe was) a nice old Colt that somebody really screwed up. Good object lesson about eye protection. What vintage was this revolver?
