    Can .45 GAP ammunition be used in a Model 625 JM safely? Would this be similar to using .38 Special ammunition in a .357 magnum revolver, resulting in less performance/ballistic power?

    Thanks for your inputs. That is what I was thinking; firing .45 GAP ammo only in my M625 because it uses moon clips. I think I would be hesitant to fire this ammo in a 1911.

    The bullets are 200 grain FMJ and are .451 diameter. I think the pressure is slightly higher in the GAP round.

    Can you fire .45 GAP ammo in a M625 revolver and a 1911 safely? Since .38 ammo can be fired in a .357 revolver, .44 Special in a .44 magnum revolver, and .45 LC in a .454 Casull revolver, the .45 GAP is a slightly shorter version of a .45 ACP and should be ok. The reason for this question is...
