    Which grips are these?

Agreed. I'm thinking a cheap pair that needs refinishing would be perfect. Does anybody have a suggestion for stripping the old finish without "melting" the checkered area of the wood? What kind of finish does smith put on the target grips from the factory? Maybe I can use a solvent.

    Which grips are these?

I was wondering if they are original. I like the look that person created. My only gripe with the standard targets is they look a bit "blocky" and disproportionate on the guns that don't have a shrouded ejector, or full lug.

    Which grips are these?

I'm looking for another pair of grips for my Model 18. I like the style shown on the M13 shown in the link below. What are they called? Smith & Wesson Model 4in 13-1 357mag Nickel : Revolvers at GunBroker.com

That's a sweet revolver...I'd be proud to have it. Is it going to be a shooter?

It already has:) I debated even asking the question because I don't think I'd get rid of it regardless of the outcome. It has been nagging at me so I decided I need to put it to rest.

Thanks for the replies guys! OK, I'm going to lay my cards on the table. I already bought the gun but didn't want you guys to pull any punches so I didn't want to say I already own it. I picked the gun up off armslist, described as 99% original condition. I paid $650 which I thought was at...

First post here and just want to start off by saying hello. I've been lurking for a while and this site seems to be the best place to get an opinion on the gun purchase I'm considering. It's a model 18-2 with no box. I've seen the gun in person and the bluing is breath taking. Appears to...
