My KKM barrel came Saturday afternoon in the mail, dropped in nice and dry cycles great with snap caps. Will head out this weekend to fire it. I know you ask why? I just lost that loving feeling for the porting and front sight fouling. I may save up and get a vortex next year.

I have the PC ported 9L, I got tried of the front sight fouled from porting. My KKM no ported no threaded just arrived Saturday. Look forward to trying out this coming weekend. KKM give my a military discount.

Yes fouling front sight! My main issue with porting, I wish I had done the research on ported barrels before I purchased it, I would have gone with the non-ported. I suppose a non ported barrel replacement, Of course have no Idea which aftermarket non-ported to drop in the 9L PC ported.

Have Dawson on mine they are fantastic.

Both my 9 Shield and 9c shoot low left. My 9L ported PC did at first, figured that out much faster than the other two, adjusted grip and site painted front and rear and it's dead center 90% of the time. The other 10% is me screwing up. As for the Shield I just got my slide back from Dawson...

Thanks for the info. I do plan on an optic later down the road. Will leave as is for now. I did see the ported shield came with fiber optic sights, but already a shield, and shoots great the way it is, i did appy green sight paint, and much better to see. May do the same with PC ported 9L

Looked the Dawson site today, was the Tritium .160 height you replaced with? Never shot tritium night sites, are they bright in the day time? Was also thinking about front fiber optic, but not sure how the fiber would hold up to hot gases from porting.
