    Smith Wesson video

Greetings guys I just picked up a dvd called Complete Revolver by Jerry Miculek, in it he strips down a S+W to almost the bare bones and shows how to give it a thorough cleaning. I am glad i picked this up as i was always leery about going inside one as i am not the type that can do something...

Snub Practice during an Ammunition Shortage...

First off, nice shooting. Secondly, thanks for the detailed breakdown of shots fired and distance and the hold. Very well done. Thats one of my pet peeves with all gun mags when they are doing tests, they dont tell you everything. They dont say if its off the bench or a rest, two hands or one...

best way to get guck out of barrel of my model 63

You may want to get a Lewis lead remover kit from Brownells, they even have a video online to show how it works. I have one and bought the adapter kit for 45 cal also. Try the copper starnds first though, that works reasonably well. i would put quite a few strands on the brush and vigorously...

To Smith Crazy and Bigfred. Thanks. Cleaning out cylinders!

I will have to try this out. After a range session i usually use the stainless steel brushes to clean out the cylinders, never the bore though.

    Cleaning Brass

I just bought 20 pounds of corn cob from Berrys in a 5 gallon bucket for $40, got tired of buying 2 bags at a time at gun shows and lugging it home so im set for a few years, i hope. I add a capful of berrys brass bright and a capful of nu-finish and they come out great.

    .357 Magnum - Ruger Or S&W?

I have 2 686,s, 1 model 19 and a gp-100. The smiths are definetly smoother, the model 19 more so as it is 25 years old and its safe to say its broken in, lol. The ruger is more durable, to me at least as it will take the heavier loads with less problems. You really cant go wrong with either gun...

    Unique for all my loads?

I use Unique, 231, Power Pistol,2400 and Trail Boss for light 45 Colt loads. Unique is a good powder but you arent going to get full power 357 loads with it, hence i use the 2400. Its fine for everything else providing you want mid range loads. im no big fan of full power loads anyway, i hate...

    Hornady 158gr. SWCHP

This wont answer you question but i dont care for the above mentioned bullet. I loaded some with 4.3 grs Unique and all i got were scttered groups and keyholers. I went down to 4.0 grs and it shot decently. Bullet isnt too good after 750-800 fps. Just my experience and opinion. Theres way better...
