    Midsouth Shooter Supply sale

It seems like every time I try to order from Midsouth it is out of stock. I've pretty much given up on them. My go to's are Midway, Brownells, and them a distant third is Midsouth.

    TURNING YOUR BACK?

A couple of months before COVID hit I realized that I was very low on 9mm. Not sure how it happened, but it did. I went into Academy one day and they had 500 round boxes of Winchester White Box 9mm for $99 a box with a three box limit. That's .20 cpr. Not sure if their three box limit at...

    686 Plus with 3" Barrel

My 3-5-7 model sporting HOGUE grips. This little baby likes Silvertips plus anything that you feed it. Love the gun with that 3" bbl and unfluted cylinder.

    New primer prices

I recently locked my 6500 primers in the gun safe. They're worth more than a couple of my guns, lol. Remember when we would pass them by at $30 per thousand because we though they were to expensive? Oh, the good old days, lol.

    Current Ammunition Situation

On page one someone mentioned that copper had doubled in price. I decided to fact check that, and he's right. 52 week high....4.7620 52 week low.....2.3335 Current............4.6445 A great website that the gold and silver dealers use is Kitco.com They have the current prices (up to the...

    Lucky 22LR find

Isn't it interesting now that people pay .08/.10 cpr and brag about what a bargain they got?

Dillon Precision - not what it used to be

I think it is unethical of You to expect a free replacement of a thirty year old electronic scale.

    Wrench for die lock nuts

Just don't get the newer Chinese metric adjustable wrenches, they're inferior quality. Ask around if any shops have the older Craftsman or Stanley metric adjustable wrenches, perhaps on a back forgotten rack somewhere. Worth a try.

RCBS Little Dandy Rotor #'s for 244 & CFE Pistol

Has anyone worked up rotor # and powder grains thrown for 244 and CFE Pistol powder using the Little Dandy, and if so would you please share them? These specific powders are too new to be listed on the Little Dandy Rotor Charge Table and was wondering if anyone has taken on that project to...

    So I don't Tumble

Am I a bad person because I don't tumble my brass before reloading? I don't even own a tumbler. I do only shoot my brass and I clean the primer pocket and tap the empty case to make sure nothing is in it before I reload it. I have reloaded like this for years without a problem. My reloaded...

Ammo "Shortage" of 2020 -- November Update

Believe me, Florida doesn't have any ammo either, or what it does have is just as high as anywhere else in the country. We're just like everywhere else.

    Ammo Prices

That dollar a round will seem cheap next year when it's two dollars a round or more. Think it can't happen......did you ever expect to see it at a dollar a round?

    Turret press

I just did a search on eBay for Texan Turret Press. There's one on there. Guess how much it is......$600.00. Wow.

    new dies needed

Lots of Lee bashing here. I don't understand why. I've used RCBS dies and didn't like them. They were too hard to get adjusted right. For me, Lee 4 die sets with Hornady split lock rings works perfect. Like some have posted above, I use separate 38/357 dies so that I don't have to make...

    S&W Model 17

.22 shorts still have their place in the ammo line up, especially in a revolver.

Definitely Glaser. Used to have some in .38 Special.

.38 Special velocities in 357 magnum cases?

I do the very same thing. No problems at all. The only thing I reload .38 cases for is a .38 only revolver such as my 638 and 642. I bought a separate set of .38/357 dies so that I don't have to make any changes to the seating and crimping dies when loading either one. It was worth the money...

686+ frame size and round or Square butt

"L" frame, round butt. Go to Midway.com and order some Hogue wood round to square frame conversion grips. That's what I did. They were the only ones in stock. They look really nice on the gun. They have finger grooves.

More a curiosity question than a desperate search for ammo!

One of the perks of being retired. I highly recommend it. Do it as soon as you can. Yogi recommends it.

Reloading characteristics between plated and jacketed bullets?

Tagged. I'm just now assembling everything to load 9mm and this post is Very informative. I have bullets, powder, and primers. Just waiting on the Lee Deluxe four die set to arrive. I'm using an old RCBS RCII single stage press. Thanks.
