    Short Barrel Shotgun

Each to their own, but I'm taking advantage of every gadget that makes sense to me, for my situation. Weapon light means I don't have to carry a separate flashlight (although I do), laser means I don't have to have the gun at eye level to aim, extra ammo is never a bad thing (unless you're...

    Short Barrel Shotgun

I have a TAC13 and I could shoot birds with it, holding it to eye level. What I have found, my front hand controls most of the recoil. The hand on the grip is mostly to pull the trigger. They both contribute in other ways, but those are the main functions. This is for the way I shoot, anyway...

    US Customs Service 686 CS-1

The original post (on page one of this thread) lost something in translation. A subsequent poster changed the details. "The only thing I am unsure of is the chambers, all six are perfectly chamfered, like you would see on Performance Center gun."

    MODEL 25 QUESTION

25-3 and 25-4 have short cylinders, so if you want to use standard factory 45 Colt, you don't want these. I have a 25-5, and it's a great shooter. The 625 series are good shooters also.

    chief38 great to deal with

I bought a gun from chief38, and it was all that he described, and a bit more. Great communication, we started a long conversation about the history of this gun and Lionel trains. I couldn't be happier with the deal. Thanks chief!

    US Customs Service 686 CS-1

Thanks PDX 1953! I've read everything I can find on the CS-1, and the finish seemed a bit odd. I forgot to mention that it's a 3" which might be kinda important, valuation-wise. It looks to be in very nice condition, no scratches and such, and not a lot of wear I can see, but since I don't...

    US Customs Service 686 CS-1

Has anyone seen a CS-1 with a satin finish? Not super shiny like high polished, or matte like bead blasted, but in between? I have a chance to buy it, but I haven't seen or heard of one with this finish. The stampings on the barrel and frame still have halos around the letters, so it doesn't...

Opinions on 625 version to pursue?

To add a bit more mystery to the 625 puzzle, the 3" on GB is a Model of 1989, but the serial number is BDC28xx (if the seller is correct), and my Model of 1988 (5") is BDC49xx. I never have been able to figure out the 625 numbering system.

LOOKING FOR EARLY COLD STEEL KNIVES

I have a first generation Outdoorsman I'd sell. PM me your email for more photos. It comes with a Kydex sheath that Lynn tried to market, but nobody wanted plastic in the late 80's. :o

Opinions on 625 version to pursue?

I've had all the pre-lock S&W 625's at one time or another, 3"-5" barrels, and the one I kept is the 625-2 Model of 1988 (only came in the 5"). Best shooting revolver I've ever owned. I don't have any experience with S&W lock guns, so I can't compare with them.

    Browning Hi Power

I'd say, if in excellent condition, it's worth anywhere from $700 - $1000, depending on how bad you want it.

    Browning Hi Power

For those who want to know about +P in the Hi Power, I'd suggest reading an article by the HP user's guru, Stephen Camp. Since I got my first HP in the 1970's, I've used Super Vel, +P, and +P+ and had no problems. Like Stephen, I now use 18.5 lb recoil springs, but only since about 2006. The...
