Pre-war Magnas on Postwar, Transitional N Frames?

That gun was not a transition .357, it was a 1950 model with standard diamond magnas.

    Absent Comrades

Sorry to hear about these losses. Jim spearheaded the SC/NC S&WCA get-togethers for a couple of years. Great guy and a very knowledgeable collector.

Anyone get a daily "news" paper delivered?

I can get up-to-the-second news from around the world for free on my phone or computer. Newspapers make you pay for yesterdays news. Bad investment.

Question on this 1917 Modified to 3.5BBL & Hard Chromed

It's supposed to be there. That football shaped divot is called a Fouling Cup and was designed to catch black powder fouling, as black powder cartridges were still in use at that time.

    Glock Clone

I bought a Ruger RXM to compare with my Glock 19 but found that the sharp angle/line on the top rear of the slide was painful against my side when carrying inside the waistband. Sold it and kept my Glock.

Washout walk-in theater, Andersen AFB Guam

I traded shots with a couple local thieves on that beach late one night after they stole the A/C unit from the projection room and were dragging it to the nearby village! We won, A/C recovered.

    Found At The Range Today.................

Couple times at the range other shooters would ask, "Can I shoot my rifle thru your chrono?" "Nope. But I'll shoot it for you." That way if it's destroyed it's my fault, not somebody else's.

    SR 71

Jack, I was working Base Police on Kadena that day, and remember hearing about the crash. We worked the base side, not the flightline, so I didn't actually see the plane.

    SR 71

We had several at Kadena AB Okinawa when I was there 1971-1973. Neat birds. They'd take off, then climb straight up until they were out of sight.

    Safariland 25 Holster

I believe the "MD/FR" denotes Medium Frame. Probably fits K frame S&W and comparable Colt frames.

Need help identifying a revolver please

Military & Police model in .38 Smith & Wesson Special caliber. The "C" serial number prefix indicates late 1940's/early 1950's manufacture.

    M&P Pre Model 10

It is a very early (probably 1946) post-WWII transitional .38 M&P. It has the large ejector rod knob, and a one-line address on the right side. Nice score for that price.

    Odd ball?

Pretty early Model 39-2. Someone may have swapped the slide from a nickel gun, or refinished the blued slide. Not a bad price either way.

Wrist watches - Tried out Seiko Modding

I've had several modded Seikos from Yobokies (Harold Ng) in Hong Kong. Picked out the parts I wanted from his options menus and got exactly what I wanted.

    Joseph Wambaugh passed away

I've read all of his books, got most of them on my bookshelf in hardback. As a young cop in the 1970s I enjoyed them immensely. RIP; you gave me a lot of reading enjoyment.
