Underwood Ammo and Freedom Munitions PSA - Update Post 16

So…… I contacted Freedom Munitions. They asked the usual questions and I replied back. Next thing you know, I get a UPS call tag. A day later I get an email stating that I should send the remaining ammo back for a refund. Replied and said, no, I’m keeping the ammo. I didn’t want anything in...

Shot my first Glock model 26 today, here are my thoughts and impressions......

Obviously it’s not an apples to apples comparison. Try a Glock 43. The P365 has the edge is capacity. But that’s it.

Business CEO's and business practices in general

Years ago I had an older man tell me this. “You’re only as good as the people you surround yourself with. And hopefully they are much smarter than you “.

    Aluminum Case Ammo

Shot a lot of aluminum case ammo. No problems. Steel case ammo is a good way break an extractor or cause premature wear.

    Bodyguard/Underwood Light Primer Strikes

I would suggest Black Hills Honeybadger over the Inceptor.

    Bodyguard/Underwood Light Primer Strikes

I believe it to be an ammo issue. Two weeks ago during a range session I had several issues with hard primers. This happened with Underwood Extreme Defender 9MM, 38 Spl, and 357. Multiple guns and shooters were involved. So it wasn’t a gun issue. I’ve since gone back to Federal HST.

Picked up a nice SW 17-2 today

I bought my 17-4 a few months ago. Absolutely no wear on the gun. Since it was in pristine condition, I asked if I should shoot it or not. The gang here said SHOOT IT! So I did. It is and will always be more accurate than I can hold it. But on a rest, it’s the most accurate 22 I’ve ever shot.

    Safe Organization

Silicone gun socks will protect your guns during and after a fire. During a fire the gun socks will help keep the temperature down on your guns. After a fire the socks will prevent rust. In the event of a fire, the fire seal on the door will expand when it reaches a certain temperature...

Very nice gentlemen. But you really should use gun socks.

Motor oil and filters for our cars - I have finally come to my senses and become practical in my old age

Chief, Actually, my gas mileage improved by 1.5 MPG since the switch. So over the course of a year, I at least break even. Now if I keep it under 70, I might save more. ;)

Motor oil and filters for our cars - I have finally come to my senses and become practical in my old age

I just switched to Amsoil. Paid $100 for five quarts and a filter. Because that’s what Chief recommend a few months ago. Now I’m second guessing myself. Thanks a lot Chief!!!!

Air Force tells brass they can OK guns on base

They do not. Only combat controllers, PJ’s, and one or two special units that get year round training.

Air Force tells brass they can OK guns on base

I work on a military installation. Personally owned firearms are expressly prohibited. We have to rely on the MP’s to protect us. And there aren’t that many on duty at any given time. There are thousands of M4’s, Sigs, 50 calibers and other weaponry there. But they are locked in arms rooms...

    Aimpoints or Red Dots

This thread got seriously derailed. The OP asked about a red dot for his Ruger. Which means he is interested in target shooting. Let’s stick to the original topic.
